Why it matters
Refined sugar is cheap, and it is what most packaged granola leans on. Honey and maple cost more and behave differently in the oven, but they bring their own flavor with them — the floral depth of wild honey, the warmth of real maple — instead of just sweetness.
Honey blends and maple blends
Most of our blends are sweetened with wild honey. Original Chocolate Peanut Butter and Maple Apple Crunch are the maple blends — maple and peanut butter, and maple and apple, are pairings we were never going to pass up. The Northwoods Keto Blend is honey-sweetened and low-carb.
A note on honesty
No refined sugar does not mean sugar-free. Honey and maple syrup are natural sugars, and some blends include real chocolate or cinnamon chips. What we promise is that the granola itself is never sweetened with refined sugar, and that every ingredient is one you could name.
