Cabin Girl Granola LLC ("we", "us") is a small family granola business in Wisconsin. This page explains what personal information we collect when you visit or order from cabingirlgranola.com, why we collect it, and who else sees it.

What we collect

• Order details — your name, email address, phone number (if you give one), shipping address, what you ordered and what you paid.
• Account details — if you create an account: your name, email, a securely hashed password, and any addresses you choose to save to your address book.
• Newsletter — your email address, and the date and IP address of your signup and your confirmation click.
• Site analytics — page visited, referring page, browser user-agent and IP address, so we can see which pages are useful and detect abuse.
• Reviews — the display name, rating and text you submit.

What we do not collect

We never see or store your card number. Card fields at checkout are served by Square inside their own secure frame. Your card number, expiry date and security code go directly to Square — they never touch our servers. We receive only a one-time payment token and a receipt reference. We do not store card numbers, and we cannot retrieve them.

How we use it

• To take payment, pack your order and ship it to you.
• To email you an order confirmation and shipping/tracking updates.
• To answer questions you send us.
• To send occasional news about seasonal blends and market dates — only if you signed up and then clicked the confirmation link in the email we sent you.
• To keep the site secure and prevent fraudulent or automated orders.

Who else sees your information

We share the minimum necessary with the services that make the shop work:

• Square — payment processing. They handle your card details directly.
• ShipStation and the carriers (USPS, UPS) — your name and shipping address, so your order can be labelled and delivered.
• IONOS — our email and web hosting provider, which delivers our emails.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.

Email and unsubscribing

Our newsletter is double opt-in: submitting the form only sends you a confirmation email, and you are added to the list solely if you click the link in it. If you never click, you hear nothing more from us. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time at cabingirlgranola.com/unsubscribe.php. Order confirmations and shipping notices are transactional and are sent for orders you placed.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie so your shopping bag and login persist while you browse. Your bag is also held in your own browser's storage. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

Order records are retained for our business and tax records. Account details are kept until you ask us to delete the account. Unconfirmed newsletter signups are removed periodically.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Just send us a message and we'll take care of it. If you have an account you can update your details and addresses yourself under My Account. Deleting an account does not remove records of orders we are required to keep.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page.
